Tata Harrier EV Review will tell you everything about this car, it is the best car in India at this price. Tata Harrier EV Starting Price 25 lakh (ex-showroom). This time, Tata made such changes to its Harrier that even Mahindra’s drivers are apprehensive. While the XUV 9 is rear-wheel drive, Tata has given the Harrier EV QWD (quad-wheel drive). While the XUV 9 produces 282 horsepower, the Harrier EV boasts 396 horsepower. While the XV 9 offers 380 Nm of torque, the Harrier EV offers 500 Nm of torque.

Mahinders were delighted with the 360° camera. The Harrier also boasts a 540° camera, allowing you to see underneath the vehicle, a feature found in vehicles like the Land Cruiser and Defender for a better off-roading experience. Furthermore, the Harrier EV is the fastest-accelerating SUV in its segment, capable of sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h in literally 6.3 seconds. Let’s talk about the all-new Tata Harrier EV. So, let’s first discuss the power specifications of this vehicle. Tata Motors has offered two battery pack options in this vehicle: a 65 kW battery pack and a 75 kW battery pack, both of which offer two drivetrain options. The first is a single motor, meaning rear-wheel drive.
Yes, front-wheel drive is gone. Normally, you get a rear-wheel drive system, which produces 238 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque, which is also quite decent and powerful enough. However, if you want more power and want to venture into off-roading, there’s a second qw (quad-wheel drive) system. Simply put, the all-wheel drive variant features not one, but two motors. 238 horsepower from the rear motor and 158 horsepower from the front motor. Combined, this vehicle produces 396 horsepower (almost 400 horsepower) and 500 Nm of torque, which is much more than the XUV 9. Seriously, Tata nailed it.

With its extreme power, this massive SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.3 seconds. Oh, I’m getting dizzy. While the comparison isn’t quite right, the Mercedes-Benz GLS in India costs 1.5 crore rupees, offering 381 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque, and it can do the 0 to 100 km in 6.3 seconds, which this EV can do for almost five times less. Obviously, since it’s an electric vehicle, the range is also quite good. But even in that, Tata wins this time.
That means a claimed range of 627 km with a larger battery pack. How much can you reduce that in real life? It’ll still go 500 km, which is a very strong claim from an Indian manufacturer. Yes, if the range is reduced too much, then it’s a problem. But, that’s about its power specifications. But this SUV’s features are even more impressive. First, we get Auto Park Assist, which allows the car to park itself without driver command, just like the Ford Endeavour.
Next, we get Reverse Assist, which automatically reverses back the same path it took, which can be very useful in tight spaces. Next, this car has Same Mode, where the car will automatically come to you after exiting a parking spot at the press of a button. It’s like a complete Mercedes S-Class.
While companies have been stuck on the 360° camera, Tata has given it a 540° surround view instead of 360°. That’s called Transparent Mode. In which basically you can also see under the vehicle while offroading to see if there are stones or something like that, which is available in expensive off-road oriented SUVs. In fact, there is a camera installed on its rear pin as well, whose live footage will be shown to you in the IRVM inside, as it is available in the Escalade of California. Next, a 14 1/2 inch Samsung powered Harman Q LED display is available in the interior of this vehicle. Yes, Q LED.
Consider that if other vehicles have 2K screen then this one has 4K screen. This screen is accompanied by a JBL sound system with DB Atmos, which creates a completely immersive atmosphere inside. It also offers six different terrain modes: Normal, Snow, Grass, Mud, Sand, Rock, Roll, and Custom. The list of features is even more extensive, including a level two powered Boss Mode, a panoramic sunroof, a powered tailgate, rain-sensing wipers, blind-spot warning on ORVMs, built-in navigation, a wireless charger, and ventilated seats.
The key to this car is a bit odd, in a circular shape that looks unique, but it’s a bit difficult to hold. The key reminds me that you can also unlock this car with your phone. In fact, it also comes with a card key, which allows you to unlock this car, just like a Tesla. So, overall, it’s so full of features that you can’t even imagine.
Coming to the exterior, there are some differences compared to the regular IC-engine Harrier, as it’s obviously an EV. For example, its grille is completely closed in the front because why an EV doesn’t need a grill. Then below, there is a slightly stiff and rugged bumper in metal finishing. There are fully connected DRLs like the ones in the regular Harrier. On the sides, there are aero-optimized 19-inch alloys so that the vehicle gives a good range. There is also an EV badging on the front door and as soon as you open the front door, the Harrier logo will appear as a projection below which looks quite cool. Next, there are similar connected taillights at the rear as well. There is a thick plastic bumper at the bottom.
